Should I get a tracking number every time you buy something on eBay using PayPal?

I purchased an item on eBay this week. She said it was sent but never received a tracking number. Every time you buy on eBay, I received a tracking number, but I do not do it. Should I get one? Comes with U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail

USPS 1st Class Mail does not have a tracking number. But – if you mailed the item there are a number of insurance label for certain that they can be used to track the package. So if you paid the insurance (or if the seller does), then you have this information if the package is lost.
